Scholastic Book Fair to be Dec 6-17

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Maryville Public Library December 6th.

Youth Services Coordinator Elizabeth Argo says the fair will feature books that are popular with children.

"Graphic fiction continues to grow in popularity so a lot of the graphic novels as well as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and survival books are really hot right now.  So those are some of the ideas of gifts that will be popular at the book fair."

Argo says the fair will also feature local authors.

"This year we are going to have a special event on December 14th that will be an author's book fair.  So it will be local authors that will have tables available and they can sell their books at the same time that the Scholastic sale is going on."

The Scholastic Book Fair will be available December 6th through the 17th, during regular library hours.
